PROJECTS

Through publications, collaborative workshops, and educational initiatives, we aim to raise awareness about autoimmune diseases, promote dialogue among stakeholders, and contribute to the advancement of immunological knowledge globally.

FLAMIN–GO

Start date: 01.01.2021
End date: 30.06.2025

Next-generation joint-on-chip

The EU funded research project FLAMIN-GO aims at developing the firs customized joint-on-chip. Such construct is able  to recreate, starting from each patient’s biopsies, a three-dimensional in vitro model of the joint of the patient affected by rheumatoid arthritis (RA), for the personalized study of an effective therapy.

FORCE REPAIR

Start date: 01.01.2023
End date: 31.12.2026

Advance chronic wound management

FORCE REPAIR aims to advance chronic wound management by developing a smart, multifunctional, and cost-effective 3D-printed wound dressing that effectively combats bacterial infections and inflammation, promotes healing, and relieves skin tension.

SINPAIN

Start date: 01.05.2022
End date: 31.10.2026

Innovative nanotherapeutics pipeline for the treatment of osteoarthritis

SINPAIN aims to develop a pipeline of siRNA-based therapy built on the combination of current technologies (dynamic IA-HA and nanocarriers) that will be designed step- by-step in order to reach a successful management of inflammation and innervation therapy for the treatment of early (grade 0-1) and later stages (grade 3-4) of knee OA.

TECNOMEDHUB

Start date: 30.05.2022
End date: 31.05.2024

Multi-omics techniques in the medical sciences: artificial intelligence in support of public health

The main objective of the TECNOMED-HUB project is to create, in the Piedmontese territory, a 4.0 technological platform to support medical research.

MIND–ME

Start date: 01.06.2020
End date: 31.05.2023

Microvesicles at the INtersection between Dysbiosis and Major dEpression disorder: an OMIC approach

This proposal seeks to uncover MDD’s molecular basis and discover new biomarkers, enhancing care for non-responsive patients and reducing treatment failures.

PREMUROSA

Start date: 01.01.2020
End date: 31.12.2023

Precision medicine for musculoskeletal regeneration, prosthetics, and active ageing

Premurosa project aims to combine the personalized clinical approach with individual ‘omic’ characterization and proper choice of medical device. This aim will be achieved by a “triple i” (interdisciplinary, intersectoral, international) approach of thirteen ESRs, who will benefit from an excellent scientific environment, up-date technologies and supervision by international leaders in the field.

MINDFUL

Start date: November 2018
End date: November 2022

Microvesicles: INtersection between autoimmune Diseases, Food and Unhealthy Lifestyles

MINDFUL project aims to investigate the relationship between the human gut microbiota and the onset of autoimmune diseases (ADs), by evaluating the contribution of different eating habits and lifestyles in dysbiosis and unravelling the extracellular vesicles (EVs)-mediated communication mechanisms between gut bacteria and immune cells.
