The Immunomics Lab recently took part in the congress organized by the “European Society for Clinical and Cell Analysis” (ESCCA) held in Palma de Mallorca from September 25th to 28th. This event is one of the most important conferences focused on advancing flow cytometric techniques in clinical laboratories.
During this event Davide Raineri gave a talk titled “From Data to Diagnosis: Biomarker Discovery in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)” and he won the “Best Oral Presentation” award. Davide presented the results of a study funded by the UPO-AGING project, conducted in collaboration with Professor Letizia Mazzini’s team at the Maggiore Hospital in Novara. The aim of the study was to identify diagnostic and/or prognostic biomarkers in ALS. These findings pave the way for new funding opportunities, collaborations, and for the identification of pathogenetic models that could lead to new therapeutic approaches.
At this event, Sara Nembrini, presented a poster on the role of neutrophilic extracellular vesicles in the pathogenesis of carbon monoxide poisoning, this study is conducted in collaboration with Prof. Vaschetto’s team at the Maggiore Hospital in Novara
